Laboratories
The Department of Freshman Engineering has 4 labs that facilitate research, innovation, and scholarly learning. Every lab is designed to give students practical experience. Students can put theoretical ideas into practice thanks to the laboratories' state-of-the-art hardware, licensed software, and fast network connectivity. These resources support both cutting-edge technologies and fundamental computing fields, ensuring that students are prepared for the workforce and focused on research.
Laboratories Offered by the Department
Engineering Chemistry Laboratory
Introduces students to the fundamentals of engineering chemistry. It helps them develop practical laboratory skills, scientific thinking, and the ability to analyse materials and chemical reactions. This laboratory builds proficiency in experimental techniques, measurement accuracy, and understanding the chemical principles that support real-world engineering applications.
Advanced Engineering Physics Laboratory
Focuses on the experimental verification and application of advanced physics principles to investigate engineering phenomena accurately. Students learn laboratory techniques related to optics, quantum physics, materials science, and electromagnetism, developing the ability to perform precise measurements, analyse data, and understand the physical concepts that govern modern engineering systems.
English Language Communication Skills Laboratory
Focuses on developing essential communication skills required for academic, professional, and social interactions. Students learn effective techniques in speaking, listening, reading, and writing while improving pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence. The lab trains students to communicate clearly, present ideas professionally, and collaborate effectively in real-world engineering and workplace environments.
Advanced English Communication Skills Laboratory
Provides practical exposure to advanced communication strategies, professional speaking, active listening, and business correspondence. Students develop proficiency in presentations, group discussions, interviews, and workplace communication through interactive language-learning tools and real-time practice sessions.
