History of the Department
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) embarked on its academic mission in 2017 with the introduction of its B. Tech degree. Starting with an intake of 60 students, the department was created to deliver a solid grounding in engineering fundamentals and promote a culture of innovation. Its persistent dedication to high-quality education, modern teaching practices, and industry relevance has driven its steady expansion, establishing it as a source of proficient graduates equipped to tackle global engineering challenges.
The department's faculty are highly qualified professionals committed to continuous learning through research, publications, and development programs. Their dedicated mentorship is crucial in guiding students toward academic excellence, innovative thinking, and ethical professional conduct.
Graduates from the EEE department are highly sought after, achieving successful placements in a diverse mix of top employers, these include public sector leaders like TSGENCO and global IT giants like Capgemini, Virtusa, and Infosys. The department's approximate 80% pass rate further reflects its strong academic standards and effective teaching.
A key initiative of the EEE department is its on-campus GATE coaching program. This dedicated support system equips students with the specialized knowledge and test-taking strategies needed to excel. The effectiveness of this program is clearly demonstrated by the strong GATE ranks our students have attained. These notable achievements open doors to prestigious PSU jobs and post-graduate opportunities. This consistent success solidifies the department's reputation for delivering education that produces tangible, high-value outcomes.
The Department of EEE is committed to molding globally competent professionals through excellence in education, research, and innovation. By blending academic knowledge with hands-on industrial exposure and research-based learning, we prepare our graduates to be impactful contributors to a technology-driven society.
