Starting with an intake of 60 students, in responding to the rapid demand for data-driven technologies, the department has steadily expanded its intake to 180 seats along with 18 lateral entry students, driven by its adherence to academic excellence, innovative pedagogy, and strong alignment with industry requirements and an ongoing commitment to excellence.

Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Lab, providing hands-on experience in immersive technologies and interactive computing.

The department Centre of Excellence addresses the need of skill development training programs for the students. Students are trained in certification courses like Microsoft - Java, Python, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Database and CISCO - Introduction to Networks. The phenomenal reforms undertaken by the department have led to excellence in placements. Remarkable and noticeable improvements have been seen since 2023-24, establishing it as one of the best placement-offering colleges in Telangana.

The department has state–of–the–art infrastructure that creates a conducive environment supporting a progressive Teaching-Learning Process. 100% ICT-enabled classrooms and laboratories go beyond the prescribed AICTE norms to cater to the academic needs and research requirements of students and faculty members.

Intel Unnati Data-Centric Labs for Emerging Technologies – Artificial Intelligence Lab, enabling students to gain expertise in hardware-software integration, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, and real-time data applications. AI Spry Lab is an industry-supported facility enhancing practical skills in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning through project-based learning.

These advanced laboratories act as innovation hubs, encouraging students to participate in research, build prototypes, and develop solutions for real-world challenges.

The department is led by highly qualified and experienced faculty members who actively engage in research, publications, seminars, and continuous professional development. Their mentorship emphasizes academic enrichment, innovation culture, and ethical engineering practices.

The department has a BoS statutory body constituted as per the guidelines of UGC and AICTE. During course syllabus framing, suggestions from academicians, industry experts, corporate individuals, and alumni are collected to meet industry requirements. Besides value added courses, students are trained in soft skills, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, interview skills, interpersonal skills, technical, and coding skills.

Likewise, hackathons, idea contests, and project expos are regularly conducted to bring out hidden talents among students.
