Functions:

  • This is a core committee constituted to help the decision-making process with respect to academics, infrastructure, facilities and student support systems in the department.
  • The committee also helps in the process of defining Vision, Mission, PEOs and PSOs. The Department Advisory Board (DAB) plays an important role in framing the draft curriculum for the approval of BoS by providing strategic direction and ensuring the program's alignment with industry and academic standards.
  • It evaluates the existing curriculum to identify gaps and recommend updates that address emerging technologies and industry demands.
  • The DAB ensures the curriculum meets accreditation standards and aligns with institutional goals and stakeholder expectations. By incorporating feedback from students, alumni, faculty, and industry representatives, the board suggests innovative practices and modern tools to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Additionally, the DAB fosters industry-academia collaboration, facilitates the inclusion of practical training, certifications, and internships, and promotes research and innovation. Its continuous review process ensures the curriculum remains relevant, comprehensive, and geared toward producing skilled graduates who excel in their professional careers.
